When we received 3 heads of green cabbage in out last organic buying club share, we had to get creative. Thankfully, a friend suggested a simple grilled green cabbage recipe that requires only 6 commonly found ingredients. Skeptical at first, it was delicious!

  1. 1 large head Organic Green Cabbage
  2. 1 clove garlic, minced
  3. 1 fresh lemon, squeezed
  4. 1 tbsp. Olive oil
  5. Salt
  6. Pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Slice cabbage from the top down to make 1-inch thick slices.
  3. Lay cabbage flat in a single layer on a large, lightly greased baking sheet.
  4. Rub each side of each of the steaks with minced garlic.
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice across each steak.
  6. Brush each side liberally brush with the oil.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Roast the cabbage steaks 20 minutes on each side or until the edges of the leaves are nicely browned and the rest of the steak is tender.
  9. While still hot, drizzle each slice with a little olive oil. Serve while hot or at room temperature.
